Remsen Students Perform at School Boards Institute Awards Dinner
Five members of the Remsen Jr./Sr. High School Chorus performed during the Oneida-Madison-Herkimer (OMH) Counties School Boards Institute (SBI) general membership meeting and awards ceremony on May 10 at Twin Ponds Golf & Country Club in New York Mills.
The meeting and ceremony included presentations of the 2018 SBI Distinguished Service Awards and Student Achievement Awards.
Prior to the award presentations, Remsen students Breanna Williams, Megan O’Brien, Evelyn Morgan, Hailey Jenkins and Julia Woolheater performed under the direction of Jr./Sr. High School Music Teacher Jason Matteson.
The OMH-SBI aims to support and service the 34 school districts within its geographical area by promoting interaction and cooperation among member school boards on matters involving public education. The association’s mission is to promote interaction and cooperation among member boards in the pursuit of excellence in the education of all children. The OMH-SBI continues to look to the future and to promote its concern for putting “Children First” and to serve and support the membership by providing informative opportunities to learn, network and share success.
