Jr./Sr. High School Principal

This time of year we often reflect on what we are thankful for. One of the many things I am thankful for is to be fortunate enough to serve our wonderful families and community. It has been a great start to the year.

There are many great things happening at the high school. One event in particular that stands out to me, is the Veterans Day concert. It was an honor to work alongside my colleagues to prepare an event that brought the community together to celebrate our veterans. Some additional highlights from the school year include seniors enjoying a day at the corn maze and a hiking field trip, classes fundraising at Barn Fest, and the 7th grade students beginning the year with a team-building field trip. Our Remsen pride was evident throughout spirit week, our pep rally, and this year’s Fall Ball. We are so proud of the Boys Varsity Cross Country team for placing second in the New York State Championship. These are just a few examples of why Remsen Rams Rock!

As we work to support all students, I wanted to remind you that we have Rams Can Soar (RCS) every day after school. This is a great place to get work done and receive academic support. RCS occurs every day after school Monday-Friday from 2:35-4:00. We also have specific academic supports from 3:00-4:00 on the following days: Monday - ELA, Tuesday - Social Studies, Thursday - Science. Strength training is another great opportunity and it is open every morning from 6:30-7:30 and Monday-Friday from 2:35-4:00. All students are welcome at RCS and the Fitness Center.

Please contact us if you have any questions or concerns. We are here to partner with you and help all students Soar to Success.

I wish you all a wonderful holiday season!
