Mrs. Sanya Pelrah

Jr./Sr. High School Principal

As we close out a successful first semester, I am filled with pride for all that our students have accomplished. From impressive academic achievements to outstanding performances in arts and athletics, dedication and hard work have been evident. These accomplishments, big and small, are a testament to the commitment our students and staff have shown to learning and growth, and they make Remsen Jr./Sr. High School a truly special place.
Additionally, I have also witnessed continued growth in our students' character. I've seen acts of kindness, resilience in the face of challenges, and a sense of community within our school. These qualities are just as important as academic success, and they speak volumes about the individuals our students are becoming. To celebrate this, I created the Remarkable Ram Award. This is a principal’s award based on the following criteria: being active in school/community, being empathetic, having integrity, being helpful, being kind, having Remsen pride, being resilient, and being respectful. This award will be given two more times this year. I look forward to celebrating our wonderful students.
As we head into the second semester, I look forward to the opportunities that lie ahead. We have several exciting events planned, including the Spring Musical - Fiddler on the Roof, the science fair, the spring dance, and various athletic contests. Just to name a few. These events provide a chance for us to come together as a community, celebrate our talents, and support one another.
I encourage all students to take advantage of the opportunities available to them in the second semester. Whether it is joining a new club, challenging yourself in a difficult course, or simply reaching out to a teacher for extra help, now is the time to explore your interests and pursue your passions.
To our parents and families, thank you for your continued support. Your partnership is essential to our students' success, and we appreciate your involvement in their education.
I look forward to a second semester that is even more successful than the first and where all students Soar to Success
