Principal

I hope you all had a restful, joyful summer and are ready for another exciting year at Remsen Jr./Sr. High School!
As we begin this new school year, I’m inspired by the possibilities for growth, learning, and progress. I look forward to seeing all of our students back in the halls, bringing with them the energy and enthusiasm that make our school so special.
A heartfelt welcome to our 7th-grade students—you’re now part of a community that will support you, challenge you, and grow with you. To the Class of 2026—this is your year! I’m so proud of how far you’ve come, and I can’t wait to celebrate all the memories and milestones that lie ahead. Let's make your senior year the best yet.
At Remsen, we believe that learning is a lifelong journey—and that each day brings an opportunity to grow. I encourage each of us to embrace our core value of “Always Strive to Improve.” Whether it's mastering a new skill in the classroom, strengthening relationships with others, or becoming more involved in school activities, progress happens when we consistently aim to do just a little better than the day before. Improvement isn’t about perfection; it’s about effort, reflection, and resilience. We’re committed to creating a culture where students feel supported in setting goals and learning from challenges. Together—with your partnership—we will help every student move forward with purpose, confidence, and proud of their growth.
We will continue to honor traditions that celebrate the amazing things our students do each day. Some of the traditions we will continue to have include: academic celebrations, ram ticket drawings, school dances, and pep rallies. In addition, we’re always looking for new and better ways to help students feel connected and proud of their school. Student voice matters—so if you have ideas, we want to hear them!
Make sure to mark your calendars for Back-to-School Night on September 3, 2025, from 5:30-6:30. You will have the chance to meet teachers and staff, tour the building, practice using lockers, learn about athletics, clubs, and student supports, and reconnect with classmates and friends.
Let’s make this a year defined by kindness, filled with school pride, and with a daily commitment to becoming even better than we were yesterday. I look forward to working with you to ensure every student continues to Soar to Success!
