Remsen Guidance Plan

The following pages outline the district-wide Counseling and Guidance plan.  In accordance with the national standards for a school counseling program, as set forth by the American School Counseling Association, the primary function of the school counseling department is to facilitate student development in three broad content areas: academic development, career development and personal/social development.  Therefore, we targeted these three areas as goals throughout each grade level providing a clear understanding of how we are to meet the goals set by the American School Counseling Association. The district comprehensive Guidance Plan also supports the Remsen School District’s Mission Statement.
