Why Does Open-Mindedness Matter?

Trying new foods can be a great way to practice open-mindedness. Sometimes friends like foods that we have never seen or tasted before! Go ahead and give it a try. You might discover a new favorite snack!

Other People Mindset (OPM) - Being present and giving others my attention (pre-K-2)

Why Does It Matter?

Lunchtime is a great opportunity to chat with your friends. If a person is distracted on their phone while you are speaking, it may make you feel sad. By giving our full attention to someone when they are speaking, we show them that we care and make them feel good.

Other People Mindset (OPM) - Being present and giving others my attention (3-6)

What Does This Mean?

When you’re with other people, you look at them and pay attention to their words.

Why Does It Matter?

WHY DOES INTEGRITY MATTER?

When you show integrity, you can feel proud of the choices that you make and how you make others feel. For example, if someone is walking in front of you on the sidewalk and drops $5, when you give it back to them you can feel good about your choice and how you made that person feel.

You tell the truth and are honest in the way you act.

WHY DOES THIS MATTER?
