Welcome

I hope that this message finds you enjoying time with family and friends.  Making memories during the summer months when things have slowed down is so valuable.  It’s hard to believe but the 2025-2026 school year is quickly approaching.  A new school year brings excitement, wonder, and sometimes a bit of anxiety for our students.  Please know that we are here to support your children along their journey in any way possible.  Our goal is to ensure that Remsen Central School is a place that your student is excited to be and feels comfortable, safe, and cared about.  As your Elementary Principal the safety and security of our students will always be my top priority.

The summer has been busy in the elementary school.  Our custodial/maintenance staff have been hard at work cleaning and organizing to make our school beautiful and inviting for our students.  We have had some construction projects being completed as well.  

Students attended many summer camps including Rams Academy, Brick by Brick Lego Camp, Camp Read-a-lot, STEAM Camp, Kindergarten Kickstart, Crafty Campers, and Hike a Mountain.  These camps provided students with exciting learning opportunities and physical activity.  There were many smiling faces throughout the building. 

During the 2025-2026 school year there will be many opportunities for families to come to school to watch their students showcase skills they have been working on.  We will have several concerts, Evening of Excellence events, and a Drama Club presentation to name a few.  Please be sure to watch for updates on events that will be occurring throughout the school year.  We hope you will be able to join us to show your support for our elementary students.

The first day of school for students this year will be Thursday, September 4, 2025.  Our Welcome Back to School Night is scheduled for Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at 4:30pm.  Parents and students will have the opportunity to meet the teacher and visit the classroom.  Students are encouraged to bring their supplies with them to place in the classroom.  There will be several Community Tables set up with information on various clubs and organizations for our students.  Please plan to join us for this wonderful night!

As I begin my second year as your Remsen Elementary Principal please know that I am here for you and your child at all times.  If there is something you need or if you have a question please reach out to me at any time.  At Remsen Central School we are more than just a school, we are family.
