This protocol is initiated by coaches, nurses and/or staff at the Remsen Central School District for any student and/or athlete who is suspected of sustaining a concussion and/or exhibits concussion symptoms during play of any sport or in the school setting. This is in compliance with the Concussion Management Awareness Act (Chapter 496 of the laws of New York State, 2011) and the International Conference on Concussion in Sport, Zurich 2008.
