Low-cost Transportation from Remsen to Utica/New Hartford/Old Forge Available through LCPT
Thinking about attending college at SUNY Poly or MVCC but don’t have a car?
Lewis County Public Transportation (LCPT) offers low fare, convenient transportation to and from Utica, NY and the colleges located there throughout the year! This “College Connector” route has two schedules; a Monday/Wednesday/Friday schedule and a Tuesday/Thursday schedule. Please note that the Monday/Wednesday/Friday route runs with the typical college fall and spring semester schedules while the Tuesday/Thursday schedule runs year-round. Both of these routes have a convenient pick up in Remsen at the Soda Fountain Restaurant.
These routes are also open to the public and are a great resource for individuals or families who are looking to save money on transportation or do not otherwise have a way to access the Utica area.
$1 discounted fares are available for students with a valid student ID card. This bus route is free for children under three years of age, half price for Medicaid, Medicare, Seniors 65+ and Children 3-11 years of age. Monthly Passes Available for $25.

LCPT also offers an Old Forge route during the summer months that is heavily utilized by 14-21 year olds for employment. One of the stops for this route is roughly 20 minutes away, at the Boonville Tops. This bus services runs seven days a week and is only $1 each way!
