My name is Janice DiNitto and I teach Technology Education at Remsen Central School. I am employed full-time at the High School and am certified to teach both Technology Education and Math. This is my 12th year at Remsen Central School - time flies when you're having fun!
I attended MVCC right after high school where I received an Associate's Degree in Occupational Studies in Drafting Technology. I transfered to SUNY IT (now SUNY POLY) and earned a Bachelor's Degree in Computer and Information Science. I was employed at Turbine Engine Component Technologies (TECT) Corporation for 17+ years (formally known as Utica Corporation and Kelsey-Hayes Corporation). I was a Manufacturing Systems Engineer where I programmed coordinate measuring machines to inspect turbine fan blades for both aerospace and energy use. I continued my education at Utica College where I earned my Master's Degree in Adolescent Education with a certification in Technology Education. And that led me to Remsen! I continued taking math courses and am now also certified to teach Math.
I live in New York Mills with my daughter, Kaylie, who graduated from Utica College and is now working full-time in the insurance industry. We have a Golden Retriever named Rosie. In my spare time I like to read, nap, and travel. The picture is from summer 2013 when my daughter and I went to Paris, France!
