Goals and Objectives
1. You will pass the regents examination.
2. You will be able to make good observations when shown a demonstration or conducting an experiment.
3. You will work effectively in small groups and alone.
Students Responsibilities
Below is a short list of specific behaviors that I expect:
1) Help foster a classroom environment which enhances the learning process (Be respectful to other students and myself. DO NOT interfere with other students learning).
2) Bring all applicable course materials to class every time we meet. This includes your Chromebook, binder/notes, reference tables, pen or pencil, review book, calculator and any homework assignment that is due.
3) If you don’t understand an idea please ask questions.
Grading
Your marking period grades will be determined as follows:
Homework and Quizzes……………………...………………….………...50%
Exams. ………………………………………………….………….………......50%
Tests will consist of multiple choice and short answer type questions. I will make them as similar as possible to the regents examination.
Quizzes will be given weekly. Homework will usually be given near the beginning of the week in preparation for each quiz.

Unit 1: Skills
Unit 2: Geology
Unit 3: Meteorology and Weather
Unit 4: Astronomy
Procedures
1. Enter the classroom and sit in your assigned seat.
2. Write down the day’s assignment.
3. Begin working on task #1 immediately.
4. Complete all listed tasks with guidance from Mr. Gallo.
5. Leave the classroom appropriately.
6. Complete any homework assignments promptly.
