Mrs. Synakowski’s and Mrs. Tucker’s third grade students recently studied the seven continents and five oceans as part of their social studies curriculum. Working in small groups, the third graders researched a continent or ocean and produced an informative Animoto video showing what they had learned.

The class’ study of global cultures culminated in an International Celebration on February 1. During the celebration, students shared their Animoto videos with family and classmates, and enjoyed sampling a variety of appetizers and desserts from around the world. Each student brought in a homemade or store bought food from a country of their choosing to share during the Celebration.

The International Celebration provided an exciting and unique experience for the students to sample foods from many different countries while learning about places and cultures from around the world.
