Degrees and Certifications:
Jessica Johnson-Rowlands is a 4th grade teacher at Remsen Elementary School as of November, 2015. Previously, Ms. Johnson began working at Remsen Elementary in 2007 as a Reading First TA. The following year, she became a K-3 Special Education teacher and service provider of ELA Response To Intervention (RTI) services for students in grades 1-3, as well as co-teacher with general education classrooms in grades K-3. The 2017-2018 school year is Ms. Johnson's eleventh year teaching at Remsen CSD. She has duel certification in both Early Childhood Education and Special Education from St. John Fisher College in Rochester, as well as her MS in Literacy from SUNY Cortland. She enjoyed coaching Varsity and JV cheerleading and competitive cheer for three years at Remsen, from 2012-2015. In addition to teaching, Ms. Johnson enjoys spending time outdoors with family and friends.
