Attention parents/guardians, due to recent outbreaks of pertussis, it is highly recomended that adolescents and adults receive a pertussis booster. It is currently mandated for students entering 6th grade. The booster available combines tetanus, diptheria, and acellular pertussis in a single vaccination, Tdap. Adults are at risk for pertussis since it has been a long time since previous vaccination and immunity is low. Please see the link on our website that can give you more information on Pertussis.

Dental Health

A new law took effect 9.01.08 that requires all public schools to request that students entering grades K,2,4,7, and 10 provide a dental health certificate to their school health office. This law also applies to children entering a new school as well.
